This is a call for every PC Gamer to help NVIDIA with its latest project against Coronavirus. If you have a gaming-ready PC, you can lend your graphical power to fighting the COVID-19 outbreak. This is done with the help of the Folding@Home application.
The program links computers into an international network that uses distributed processing power to chew through massive computing tasks. With it, you’ll be able to perform everyday tasks while assisting in the research against the COVID-19 virus.
Don’t worry, you can still turn the application off and reclaim your GPU’s full power for playing games. So, you can continue your usual gaming sessions while supporting research in your downtime. Not only that, but you can have any unused GPU helping the development in the background. Of course, this will not intrude on your gaming activities if you don’t use it.
Currently, the PC Master Race subreddit has its own team that will co-operate with NVIDIA. The aptly named “PC Master Race Team” will support several projects. Not only that, but the subreddit will also host an AMA Dr. Bowman and Dr. Chodera, Anton Thynell and others on the 19th of March.
