Just under a week ago, EA and Visceral games announced that they are developing Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel. This is the third game in the Army of Two franchise, and Visceral states that they’re trying to start fresh with its implementation. To achieve this, they’re introducing a new duo for everyone to play as, simply named “Alpha” and “Bravo,” and will be attempting to add a “more intense, grittier tone.”
Julian Beak, the Executive Producer of Viceral Games is quoted:
“We wanted to refresh the Army of Two franchise for a new generation of action gamers, and at the same time, stay true to the core concept that really made the first two games fan favorites. With meaningful, seamless co-op gameplay at its core and explosive new tag-team features, gamers will have to work together tactically and strategically as they push through a city dominated by one of Mexico’s deadliest drug cartels.”
Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel is scheduled to release in March of 2013 on Xbox 360 and PS3.
