During a financial call that took place earlier today, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot announced a new Assassin’s Creed title, scheduled to release during their 2014 fiscal year; a year that starts on April 1st, 2013 and continues until March 1st, 2014, as noted by Polygon.
The next Assassin’s Creed will have a new development team behind it, a new protagonist, and will take place in a new time period; it is expected to be another big leap for the series. Fresh details regarding the title, according to Guillemot, will come to light in the near future.
“We are delighted and proud to announce today that in financial year 14, we will introduce an all-new Assassin’s Creed hero, within an all new team and time period, and we expect it to be another major leap forward for the franchise,” said Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot. “It is the benefit of multiple teams working on multiple chapters of the product, each getting several years to make their versions of an Assassin’s Creed game.”
