Platinum Games will be contributing to the Wii U, it seems, as Bayonetta 2 has been announced at Nintendo’s Wii U Event. The Producer and Director of the original title, Atsushi Inaba and Yosuke Hashimoto, respectively, will each be returning for the sequel. Nintendo, meanwhile, will be playing the role of the publisher. Making Bayonetta 2 a Wii U exclusive.
No release date has been given for the game yet. So, unfortunately, it won’t be a launch title.

This is a very odd move. Does this mean Bayonetta 1 will make an appearance on the Wii U in the future? Hopefully the sequel will be a stand alone title. Still excited though.
