It may came as no surprise that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild won Game of the Year during this year’s Game Awards, yet what did come as a shock was the release of both the trailer and the actual DLC of the Champions’ Ballad. The Champion’s Ballad released this weekend for both Wii U and Switch versions. Looking at the trailer and all of the newly released artwork it is clear the developers poured their heart and souls into this game.
A dungeon never before seen by the public, background stories of the four Champions, nine new sets of armor and a few surprises are all included in the second half of the game’s Expansion Pass. One brand-new piece of equipment that Link may add to his collection is the Master Cycle Zero. The armor, like ones previously released in the first DLC pack are not given freely but must be found in treasure chests. And so will the newly shown off Ancient Saddle and Bridle for Link’s steeds.
The Champion’s Ballad and the Trial of the Sword DLC packs may be purchased as complete unit for $19.99. Or if you have not purchased Breath of the Wild, a special edition: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Explorer’s Edition includes the full game, a 100-page guide and a double sided map poster for $59.99.
