Call of Duty isn’t done with last-gen consoles just yet, according to Activision. The company’s revealed that Call of Duty: Black Ops III‘s still coming to Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 after all despite the game’s focus on newer and bigger game platforms – i.e. Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
Activision’s also said that Mercenary Technology and Beenox Studios of Spider-man fame (and infamy) will be porting Black Ops III to PS3 and 360.
Activision’s further said their “goal” of two-player cooperative play – as opposed to four-player co-op on PC and current-gen. The game’s multiplayer beta will also be debuting only on current-gen systems, though Black Ops III will still see a simultaneous release across all its platforms this November 6th.
In “harnessing the full potential” of Xbox One, PS4, and PC, Activision’s also confirmed that there’s, “no version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 for Nintendo Wii U planned.”
