After the entire Internet seemed to groan when Capcom announced that they would be releasing an iOS game to celebrate Mega Man turning 25 we haven’t heard much at all from the company about when we will see Mega Man return to consoles and portable devices.
In a recent interview with Nintendo Power magazine however, Christian Svensson (Capcom’s senior vice president fact-fans) promised that Mega Man will make a comeback:
“I can say with certainty that you’ve not seen the last of the Blue Bomber on consoles and handhelds, and, with luck, we’ll be celebrating his 50th anniversary, including all of the games you’re going to enjoy over the next 25 years”
He also said that he is staying “mum” about any details as Capcom have had issues in the past about talking about games and announcing them before being certain that they will come out at all.
At least we have an explanation for Mega Man Legends 3 and Mega Man Universe now I suppose!?
