Japanese developer Cave has cancelled two upcoming PlayStation Vita games that were announced at last year’s Tokyo Game Show. The titles, an unnamed shooter and a social game named Shirotsuku were unlikely to see a Western release.
While on the surface things do not look good for the Vita’s third party support, it masks a deeper problem. Cave is not doing well, especially after their COO resigned. Perhaps the titles were cancelled due to the restructure of the developer instead of the lacklustre commercial success of the Vita.
