Microsoft cracked down hard on its game lineup this E3 and quite a literal Crackdown is among them. Now the third in the soon to be trilogy, “Crackdown” as its called now is coming to Xbox One as a brand new title (and not a port of the 360 game), Microsoft revealed during its E3 press conference just now.
A cooperative open-world game, Crackdown debuted in all its CG splendor with its Agency agents in tow destroying things like buildings, people, and other CG things. You know, like in Crackdown? Original Crackdown creator Dave Jones will be tackling the as of yet undated project at Cloudgine.
Dubbed as a “new iteration of the groundbreaking open-world action series that features a whole new campaign — fully playable in co-op — and uses Xbox Live to power a city that isn’t just an exciting place to play, but is a part of your destructive arsenal,” we’ll just have to wait and see what comes of Crackdown in the months to come following Microsoft’s Phil Spencer teasing that the game was definitely alive and well. And so it is.
