Never say never, folks, because despite all odds, Disney Infinity 3.0 just got a whole lot cuter. As it was announced live at Disney’s D23 Expo today, two of Disney’s newest movie franchises and one of Neverland’s resident Lost Boys will be joining the game.
This fall’s The Good Dinosaur will feature the game’s latest newcomers as will next year’s Zootopia. The former’s Spot will apparently be an NFC figurine along with the latter’s Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman) and Lieutenant Judy Hopps (Once Upon a Time‘s Ginnifer Goodwin).
In addition, Peter Pan will come in 2016 as a Toy Box Artist’s Choice figure while Disney’s classic cartoon iteration of Neverland will appear as an in-game level.
The Good Dinosaur releases Nov. 27th in the UK and two days earlier in the USA and follows the adventures of a lost dinosaur named Arlo and his friend, a young human boy named Spot, as they try and find their way home.
Zootopia releases March 4th, 2016 and sees its two furry leads butting heads while cracking a case in their eponymous hometown of mischievous animals.
Disney Infinity 3.0, meanwhile, releases this August with the stars of Star Wars as well as a special Darth Vader PS4 bundle also announced at this D23.
