For the first time in over a month, Guardians of the Galaxy has been knocked out of the top 2. This weekend was all about animals and killers. The Idris Elba thriller No Good Deed (2014) came out on top with a $24,500,000 gross. Just below it was the family-friendly Dolphin Tale 2 ranking in $16,550,000. Guardians of the Galaxy, though knocked down, still has some more fight in it with a weekend gross of $8,014,000. It should be noted that the film has just passed over $300,000,000 domestic as well as foreign with the worldwide gross stretching over $6,000,000. The rest of the lot were very close separated only by a few hundred thousand. The new crime drama The Drop only ended up at #6 with a $4,200,000 gross, but that’s not too bad considering it was only released in 800 theaters. Check out the top 10 below:
- No Good Deed (2014): $24,500,000
