We are a week away from Doom hitting store shelves, which is something I didn’t expect to hear myself saying. Hell, I only just remembered that the game was coming out despite having played the open beta when it was available last month. To celebrate the impending launch of the first-person shooter, Bethesda have released a trailer that shows you more of the same fast-paced carnage players can expect. You can watch the trailer above.
As I mentioned, I played the open beta and found myself kind of bored for most of it. It was just the multiplayer, and I only touched Team Deathmatch, but it just felt a bit too sterile and clean. Something which a game about fighting demons from hell should not feel like. That being said, I am still excited about the game. The single player is what interests me and always has about the Doom franchise (you played Quake if you wanted multiplayer). I’m still really into the finishing kills and having a vast arsenal at your disposal. Plus, when a game moves fast, I’m way more inclined to enjoy it because it knows not to waste my time.
Doom will be released on May 13th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
