In the second box office weekend for October, the new movies were all over the map. Though Gone Girl maintains the top slot with a $26,800,000 gross, Dracula Untold was not far behind with a $23,457,000 gross. The new action/horror take on the classic monster made an okay amount, but still rather disappointing for a $70 million budget. Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day (try writing that on a marquee), the family comedy based on the children’s book of the same title, brought in $19,100,000 which isn’t a major loss for a $28 million budget. Robert Downey Junior’s new drama/comedy The Judge only made $13,330,000 amid mixed reviews despite the stellar casting. And the sexy, trashy thriller Addicted brought up the rear with $7,600,000. Check the full top 10 below.
