Dragon Quest has had a bit of resurgence as of late with the release of Dragon Quest Heroes and today being the 30th anniversary of the original Dragon Quest back in 1986. Dragon Quest Builders was released at the beginning of this year in Japan, and it will be getting a release in both North America and Europe in October for both PlayStation 4 and Vita. You can watch the announcement trailer for its release above.
The game has been compared to other games like Minecraft and Terraria in its use of gathering and building. Though the game does have its similarities to Minecraft and titles like that, it very much still retains that Dragon Quest aesthetic that fans love. Even in the trailer above, it is hard not to smile when the signature theme kicks in. Players will rebuild the world of Alefgard in Dragon Quest Builders, while also defending it from its monster-infested reaches.
The PlayStation 4 version of the game will have a physical and digital release, while the Vita version will only receive a digital copy. Fans anxiously awaiting the game can look forward to when it comes out in October 2016 for both PS4 and Vita.
