Rebellion has announced the release date for Sniper Elite 4. It will be releasing on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on February 14th, 2017.
In Sniper Elite 4, you take on the role of an elite agent during World War II named Karl Fairburne, who is trying to save a resistance of Italians against the fascist regime. New screenshots have been released for the game, and the box art has been revealed.
According to the Sniper Elite 4 Steam page, the game will have “a beautiful Italian peninsula, from sun-drenched Mediterranean coastal towns, to colossal Nazi megastructures, daunting forests and giddying mountain monasteries inspired by Monte Cassino.” The game will also feature the largest environments in series history.
The game originally was going to release at the end of 2016, but Jason and Chris Kingsley, the co-founders of Rebellion, explained in a press release that Battlezone, their PlayStation VR title for October, would be their release for that particular quarter. They said, “A few of our shared internal teams will probably sleep a bit easier now!” This will probably lead to further development time on the game for its now February release.
