Nintendo showed off at their Nintendo Treehouse Live event a new trailer for Yo-Kai Watch 2, which will be available September 30, 2016. The game will be coming to the 3DS in two different versions, subtitled Bony Spirits and Fleshy Souls, respectively. The game will be going down the Pokemon route of having two separate versions that are fairly similar except there are exclusive Yo-Kai for each version. You can watch the trailer above to see more information about the upcoming game.
Yo-Kai Watch 2 will feature a larger world than the original, as well battles that are grander in scope. You will be able to join your friends in battles, as well. The story for the game centers around going back in time 60 years to discover the origins of the titular, Yo-Kai Watch. The sequel will feature several new Yo-Kai, and will include exclusive Yo-Kai for those who import save data from the original Yo-Kai Watch. Check out the box art for the games below:
It will have been over two years since Yo-Kai Watch 2 came out in Japan, once the game finally launches in North America. Nintendo is bringing it over as publisher, as they did with the first game. It is developed again by Level-5, who are most famous for working on this, the Professor Layton games and Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch.
