Fullbright have stayed fairly silent about Tacoma, despite the game being announced back during The Game Awards in 2014. As a follow up to the critically acclaimed Gone Home, Tacoma is finally switching into launch mode as Fullbright announced during Microsoft’s E3 conference that the game will launch on August 2nd, 2017. You can check out a new trailer for the game below.
As the second game from Fullbright, Tacoma has players investigating Lunar Transfer Station Tacoma and delving into what it’s like to live so far away from Earth. Players will discover plenty of mysteries that they’ll want to solve about the station and its crew. Fullbright had originally planned for the game to be released in 2016, but after play sessions they realized that there was a new way to go about the way they were telling the story and retooled it.
Tacoma is honestly one of the games I’m most excited to play and its good to finally see a release date within grasp for it. Playing back recordings on the space ship is bound to be interesting from a gameplay perspective, and it will be exciting to see whether Fullbright can follow up Gone Home with something more ambitious mechanically, but also maintain the story credibility they earned with their first game.
Tacoma launches on PC and Xbox One on August 2nd, 2017. Stay tuned to BagoGames for more coverage from E3 2017!
