Bethesda had announced three new pieces of a downloadable content coming to Fallout 4 over the next couple months. The first two, Contraptions and Vault-Tec, seemed like they would be similar to the first two pieces previously released before Far Harbor came out. It seems that will be the case, as more details were revealed on Nuka-World‘s DLC Steam store page.
The game will feature the titular Nuka-World, which has now been overrun by raiders. The new area will consist of a large open wasteland zone and “park zones like Safari Adventure, Dry Rock Gulch, Kiddie Kingdom, and the Galactic Zone”. I can only imagine these will be areas that will let the art team go crazy with some more zany, yet rundown regions.
Besides the new locale, Nuka-World will also feature a more malicious feature: the ability to lead Raiders into the wasteland. You’ll be able to take over settlements, reversing the roles so that players can now be the ones threatening the livelihood of settlements. I can’t even tell how many times I got mad at raiders coming to my settlement. Now it’s time to see what true power feels like! The new DLC will also feature new weapons, quests, creatures, raiders, and more.
The trailer at Bethesda’s conference stated an August 2016 release date for Nuka-World, but the Steam store page lists a July 2016 date. I’m expecting the July date to be an error, but maybe Bethesda will be pushing the release date sooner? In the meantime, check out some images from the DLC above, and stay tuned to BagoGames for more coverage of E3 2016 and Fallout 4.
