Fallout Shelter is less than a month away from release on Android, but it’s also coming with a handy update on all its platforms.
The game hits Android devices precisely on Aug. 13th we’ve now learned and on that same day, players will also get their hands on a Mr. Handy, the series’ robotic assistant, who will act as your resource collector, Vault defender, and resident Citizen. It’s not yet clear how you’ll get him, but he can be sent to the Wasteland like any other character as well as acquire new treasures for you.
A few new enemies are also coming courtesy of the update. The series’ hellish Deathclaw creatures will now attack your Vault much like Raiders do at present while Molerats will invade your quarters akin to Radroaches.
We liked Fallout Shelter‘s initial challenge following its release, though we thought it could use more variety in its tasks and deeper customization. Hopefully Mr. Handy will lend something to either category.
