Players of Far Cry 3 on PC can’t seem to catch a break at the moment, as not only were they required to install a day-one patch which Ubisoft described as “critical”, but now many of them have been unable to access the game they paid for due to issues with Ubisoft’s Uplay service.
Problems with the Uplay servers have left players unable to play the game in any form, leading to Ubisoft issuing the following apology on Twitter: “We’re very sorry for the server issues affecting Far Cry 3 on PC and are working as fast as possible to restore the service.”
Although Far Cry 3 has received considerable critical acclaim, this won’t be of much consolation to affected PC players. However, it has been reported on Rock Paper Shotgun that the game can be played if the Uplay client is set to offline mode.
