Earlier this week we revealed that FEZ, the hit indie Xbox Live Arcade title, will finally be making the jump to other platforms (starting with PC/Steam) later this year.
This obviously got a lot of gamers thinking, if the title is already due to launch on other platforms then surly there could be the possibility of FEZ launching on the Nintendo 3DS? After all, the shifting-dimension gameplay seems like a perfect fit no? No.
Phil Fish recently confirmed that this would not be the case during a Reddit AMA session, answering the question of a 3DS port with:
“People keep assuming Fez would be a no-brainer on 3DS, but in truth it would be kind of pointless. The game is practically always shown in isometric 3D, there’s never any perspective there. I don’t think it would work.”
We guess Phil Fish has a point. It turns out that you’ll have to stick to consoles in order to play FEZ.
