Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is a movie that is definitely happening this Friday. So it only made sense for Christopher Cross and Dylan Schwan to take a look back at Man of Steel, the film that will dictate the events of the crazy superhero spectacular. It’s all spoilers when we discuss the film from Zack Snyder, starring Henry Cavill, Michael Shannon, Russell Crowe, and Amy Adams. Was the wanton destruction at the end of the film really that bad? How important is parenting to Man of Steel? This and more are discussed this week.
However, there’s also a release date for Bloodline‘s second season which makes us excited as it was one of the best shows of last year. Plus, someone thought it was a good idea to make a new Indiana Jones again, Terminator 6 is probably still going to happen if Schwarzenegger can be believed, and apparently The Lego Batman Movie will feel like “About a Boy as directed by Michael Mann”.
Dylan talks about the Criterion release for this week, A Brighter Summer Day. Because he saw it. Chris saw Where to Invade Next, the new documentary from Michael Moore. Then the two of them talk about The Little Prince, which people in the US will have to wait to see. But here in Canada, it’s absolutely no problem to go to a theater and see it.
You can listen to the podcast below where we discuss Man of Steel, and tune in next week when we talk about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in excruciating detail.
