We’ve already recounted the entire filmography of Christopher Nolan, but now Christopher Cross and Dylan Schwan are here to tell you all about his latest effort, Dunkirk. Does Nolan’s war movie reach the heights of his previous films, and more importantly, does it stand toe-to-toe with other seminal war films? We answer these questions as well as place the film within our rankings of Christopher Nolan’s films.
On top of this, Dylan saw Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, as well as the first season of Sneaky Pete and the Flying Lotus film, Kuso. Plus, both Chris and Dylan watched A Ghost Story.
But don’t worry, we covered most of the trailers that were released from Comic-Con, the first wave of announcements from the Toronto International Film Festival, and the usual Blu-ray releases of the week. Our pick this week is Criterion’s release of Lost in America. Next week, we shall return with our review of Atomic Blonde.
