Christopher Cross and Dylan Schwan cap this year of TV off in one of the final episodes of Film Fallout for 2017. From The Leftovers to Twin Peaks, there were plenty of dramas worth taking note of and then BoJack Horseman, The Good Place and so much more helped bring comedy to the forefront of this year’s discussions. We’re in the golden age of television, right? So hear us talk about where we’re at with TV in 2017.
It’s also awards season, so we ignored the news of this week (there wasn’t much) in exchange for a discussion of the Golden Globe nominations and some predictions. This also means more movies are opening wider so Chris went and saw both The Shape of Water and Darkest Hour which is talked about before we delve into our favourite television this year.
Next week, we will return with a review of the blockbuster event of the year: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi.
Film Fallout is a weekly podcast about film and television, hosted on BagoGames.com. Every week, Christopher Cross and Dylan Schwan discuss news happening in the industry, blu-ray releases coming out this week, what they’ve been watching, and then a review of one movie. You can listen to it on SoundCloud, iTunes, or on BagoGames. Also follow us on Instagram for some behind-the-scenes magic. We are both on Twitter, if you’d like to follow us there. Chris is @HammerkopCross, Dylan is @DreaminDylanS, and you can follow the podcast @Filmfalloutcast. And finally, there is a Facebook page for the podcast if you’d like to ‘like’ us on that.
