Final Fantasy 15 is creating buzz with the series’ fans due to the fantastic graphics and the stark difference in FF combat. Instead of attacking in a turn-base manner, everything happens in real time. Plus you will have no control over the members of your party (excluding the main character) aside from setting their equipment. The only character you will be able to play as and control is Noctis.
Noctis has the ability to attack freely without using input commands which gives the player a bit of freedom in combat. Combat can get hairy because your view of the battle is not stable. Members of your party and the enemies you’re fighting against quickly change their location and you must choose a single target to focus battling.
GameSpot had a chance to sit down and play Episode Duscae (the demo for FF 15) and we’ve brought their videos straight to you! The large portion of the demo can be devoted to exploring the Duscae region that is the perfect hunting ground. What you hunt, cook and then eat at night affects the statistic boosts you’ll receive.
The demo, Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae will be available this month with the copy of FF Type-0 HD. No date has been announced for the full FF 15 game as of yet. With the delay of the release it’s clear that the developers are hard at work creating the most beautiful and graceful graphics they can.
