Hajime Tabata, the director of Final Fantasy XV, has said during the Square Enix Presents livestream today that the release information has “pretty much been decided now.”
After releasing the “Dawn Trailer,” there was speculation about when the release date will be shared by Square Enix. Tabata has addressed those concerns.
During the Square Enix Presents livestream, Tabata said, “When you see this teaser trailer everyone, people are going to be asking when we are going to announce the release of the game, and when we are going to announce the announcement, but all of these things have pretty much been decided now.”
He explained, “We’ve got a very solid plan laid out now where all of these information releases and all of the major announcements are going to take place. That’s all fixed out.” He then said later, “There’s plenty of other very important information that we really want to get out before that release date announcement.”
In this game, you take on the role of Noctis, the prince of an invaded kingdom. Now that the kingdom has been taken over, Noctis and his companions have to fend off the Niflheim Empire’s soldiers as outsiders.
Final Fantasy XV is currently being developed for the PS4 and Xbox One.
