The final episode born out of Little Nightmares‘ Secrets of The Maw expansion pass is available now on all platforms. The new DLC, entitled The Residence, follows a child as he evades “the Lady” while solving deadly puzzles. Armed with only a flashlight, the boy has little to defend himself with as he sheds light on The Maw’s deepest secrets.
Little Nightmares can be purchased digitally across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC with two console physical editions. The Little Nightmares: Six Edition launched alongside the game April 28th, 2017. The Six Edition was a special collector’s edition that retailed for $40, though copies of it are now selling for up to $100. It included the game in a special collector’s box with a six figurine. It also packaged a soundtrack cd, sticker set, and exclusive poster.
The expansion pass would not be included until the physical Little Nightmares: Complete Edition on October 27th, 2017. The Complete Edition dropped the physical swag of the previously released Six Edition while adding in the Secrets of The Maw expansion pass. This version retails for $30.
Little Nightmares is an atmospheric platformer with light puzzle solving. It generated favorable reception with Metacritic averages ranging from 78-83 depending on the platform and the number of reviews available for the platform. Little Nightmares has PlayStation 4 Pro support in the form of a native rendering resolution of 2880×1620 over the base console’s 1920×1080 (and 1600×900 on the Xbox One) and a framerate targeting 60. The other console versions are capped at 30. There are no Xbox One X enhancements.
