A few months ago video game retailer GAME entered administration in England. Now it appears that GAME Australia is following suit. Since the retailer is in administration, it will no longer be stocking Diablo III in certain stores. What makes the situation even worse for some consumers is that refunds for pre-orders will be given.
Kotaku AU reports that a text message was sent to individuals who had pre-ordered the game at the impacted stores advising them that they would not be getting the game for which they paid.
“Due to the appointment of an administrator to our business this morning, it is with regret that I inform you all that our stores will not be receiving any stock of Diablo 3,” the text message read.
“Because of this, we regrettably will be unable to fulfill any pre-orders. Also, we will be unable to refund any deposits paid towards a pre-order of diablo 3. If you need any more info, please emain customerrelations@game.com.au .”
The long and short of it is this; if you pre-ordered Diablo III from GAME in Australia, not only will you not be receiving the game, you will not be receiving a refund of any money paid towards the pre-order of said game.
Are you one of the gamers affected by this unfortunate turn of events? If so, please share your thoughts in the comments below.
