After months of speculation, could Grand Theft Auto V come to PC very soon? Seeing as the fourth game in the series was made immortal through the endless number of mods available to it, the answer is probably yes. Today, to put us even closer to the announcement, Gamereactor has come across some information stating that 2013’s best selling game will start accepting pre-orders for the PC version this coming Friday.
While there are no announcements coming out of Rockstar, a manager of the Swedish retailer Elgiganten has told Gamereactor that this Friday, 31st of January will be the date that they will begin accepting the pre-orders from gamers. If there is anything you can trust in this world, it is the word of a store manager in Sweden over the official dealings of a games company! EA don’t count.
There have been lots of rumors and listings on various websites (which have been swiftly taken down) going on about a PC version of the game. A petition for the game to be released was even started with a large amount of signatures.
It seems ridiculous to think that GTA would not be released on PC with such support for its release, but maybe they want to wait until they have it perfect before announcing anything. Maybe even alongside a next generation (or current generation now, isn’t it?) version? One can only dream.
If we hear any news regarding this we will be sure to let you know.
