Although we reported yesterday that the president of Nintendo was “satisfied” with the Wii U sales, it seems that the console is doing just dandy in the US with GameStop revealing some impressive sales figures over the Christmas period.
According to the companies sales report, in the nine weeks leading up to the 29th December last year, the Wii U has sold 320,000 times.
The company has claimed the Wii U launch as “successful” and achieved global sales (from the 6700 stores across North America, Europe and Australia) of $2.8 billion (£1.7 billion).
Not bad for a global recession eh?
