The nominations for the 2024 Gayming Awards have been announced, with Baldur’s Gate 3 being the leading contender with five nominations alongside other story driven games such as Thirsty Suitors, Tchia, and Final Fantasy XVI. Additionally, this year’s event will be co-hosted by award-winning drag queen and horror content creator DEERE, alongside the fellow content creator, podcaster, and writer Milady Confetti. The award show will be adding a brand new category titled ‘LGBTQ+ Geek Entertainment Moment of the Year‘ – drawing attention to outstanding queer content outside of gaming.
“The Gayming Awards is the highlight of our calendar, and I’m excited it’s back bigger and better for 2024!” says founder of the ceremony, Robin Gray. “It’s our honor to be able to celebrate the best of LGBTQ contributions both in game and in the industry. I’m also delighted to be welcoming the powerhouse duo of Milady Confetti and DEERE as our hosts for this year’s Awards. They’re going to be so awesome and bring a real buzz to the show!”
The Gayming Awards will be streaming globally through Twitch, alongside the live broadcast Gayming’s TikTok will be home to clips and interviews from the Red Carpet and the Winner’s Lounge, as well as the show itself, throughout the night. Public voting is also open in 4 categories – Gayming Magazine Readers’ Award, Best LGBTQ+ Character Award, LGBTQ+ Streamer of the Year, and LGBTQ+ Geek Entertainment Moment of the Year Award, voters can head over to the official Gayming Awards Site to cast their vote.
The Gayming Awards will take place at the Margaritaville Resort in Palm Springs, California, on April 7th, the full list of categories and nominees can be found below.
