Guilty Gear Strive’s been on quite the success roll as of late, with it breaking 500,000 units sold worldwide. That high of a sales number is actually very impressive for an Arc System Works title, but we’re not gonna talk about that for a few minutes. Newer content has been revealed and slated for release very soon for the new Guilty Gear title.
That said, the newest DLC character is known as Goldlewis Dickinson, a character from Strive’s Story Mode. He plays more of a supporting role to the main cast, specifically towards President Colin Vernon. Goldlewis also came with his own gameplay trailer which showcases his fighting style as well as future DLC information. You can view that trailer below
Goldlewis’s Style, Release, and the Future
From Goldlewis’s Guilty Gear trailer, he seems to be a big, bulky character with slow buttons and heavy damage. He already seems to be better off in the movement department compared to Potemkin and Nagoriyuki, given that Goldlewis has access to a forward run, albeit a slow one.
Goldlewis will be releasing on July 27th for Season Pass holders. Arc System Works also revealed a release schedule for the next four DLC characters, one of which is releasing next month. You can view that schedule below.
Judging by the shown release schedule, next month is slated to have another DLC character, and a decent guess for the third DLC character would be Q4 2021. However, the fourth and fifth DLC characters merely have a 2022 release date with no given timeframe.
Guilty Gear Strive is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
