Sony is planning some kind of event for Gran Turismo that is set to happen on the 15th. An invite for the event (via NeoGAF) shows that the announcement will take place at Silverstone Circuit, Towcester, Northamptonshire and we will ‘discover exciting announcements’ about the future of the series.
“The Gran Turismo franchise continues to be extremely important to PlayStation,” stated President of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Jim Ryan. “We felt that 15 years of GT was an event worth celebrating along with our colleagues from the Americas, Asia and Japan. We are very grateful to our manufacturer partners for helping us to bring together a fantastic event. As well as experiencing the development of the game and comparing the virtual and real, it will be a pleasure to see Yamauchi-san and hear what’s next for Gran Turismo.”
Additionally, a new teaser video has been released for the 15th Anniversary of the series that all but reveals the announcement to be Gran Turismo 6.
