Rockstar has detailed a lot of the digital, in-game content that will come with the previously announced Special and Collector’s Editions of Grand Theft Auto V, including additional weapons, outfits and GTA Online characters.
- Additional Weapons – The .50 Caliber Pistol and the Bullpop Shotgun are two the two weapons that will be available at all Ammu-Nation weapon shops for no additional cost. The brutal melee weapon, called the Hammer, is also included.
- Bonus Outfits, Tattoos and Hairstyles – Michael, Franklin and Trevor will each receive a 20% discount wheneve they visit any of the shops in Los Santos and Blaine County. They will also get one new outfit, one new shirt/hoodie/jacket and a special haircut, tattoo and facial hair look (screenshot of come unique clothes below).
- Custom Characters – Your GTA Online character will resemble the two people you choose as parents. By using the ‘gene dominance meter’ you can adjust which parent your character’s appearance will take after. Should you choose to buy the Collector’s Edition of GTAV, you’ll receive Niko Bellic (Grand Theft Auto IV) and Grand Theft Auto III‘s Claude and Misty.
- Special Ability Boost – Our three protagonists each have a special ability they can trigger once their special meter fills. With the special ability boost that comes with both the Special and Collector’s Editions, their mete will fill 25% faster.
- Stunt Plane Trials – Five unique challenges await you when you decide to take part in the stunt plane trials of Los Santos and Blaine County. You’ll be traveling through mountains, deserts, cities and more, while also trying to get from one checkpoint to another.
- Unique Vehicles & Your Garage – Another exclusive to the Collector’s Edition, you’ll be treated to a special garage that houses the CarbonRS sports bike and a 1930s styled hotrod known as the Hotknife. Meanwhile, back in GTA Online, the Khamelion electric car is available for purchase (pricing for the car wasn’t given, unless it’s free).
Grand Theft Auto V releases on September 17th
