This past week, the Taipei Game Show in Japan recently previewed what many claim was a possible tease for a Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance sequel. Now the man behind Metal Gear Solid himself has reportedly spoken on the matter and says we shouldn’t expect any sort of tease for Metal Gear Rising 2…at least, for now.
Game journalist and The Game Awards host Geoff Keighley claims he spoke with both Hideo Kojima and Konami producer Ken-ichiro Imaizumi during the convention and the two have reportedly denied the existence of Metal Gear Rising 2 being teased while not, in fact, saying much else about the idea of a Metal Gear Rising 2.
Slice that rumor: No Metal Gear Rising 2 tease at Taipei games show. Spoke to @Ken1555 from @Kojima_Pro_Live, it is not true.

The logo, which you can see below, was flashed during a trailer for upcoming Playstation 4 title, one of which apparently included a number in the Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance font as it was captured on Twitch TV.
So what was that 2 log being flashed so mysteriously? We’ll have to wait and see to find out in the coming months, but whether a Metal Gear Rising 2 really exists remains an open question – or as long as Kojima and Imaizumi leave it open.
