Crytek Studios has officially announced Homefront: The Revolution. Set in a war torn United States primarily in Philadelphia, it has been four years since the United States has been under the occupation of North Korea. You play as guerrilla fighters otherwise know as the “resistance.”
The game will feature an open world single-player campaign and a four player online co-op mode. No news if the competitive mulitplayer of the original Homefront will return. Crytek also boasts that Homefront: The Revolution will feature a dynamic weather system, and full day and night cycles.
The original Homefront has sold over 1 million copies and shipped more than 2.4 million. Crytek purchased the rights from THQ back in January of 2013 for $544,000. Homefront: The Revolution will be releasing sometime in 2015 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
sounds similar to Freedom Fighters, I’m intrigued.
