Van Helsing is a name synonymous with monsters. He has appeared in just about every medium known to man, beginning with the original story of Dracula written by Bram Stoker. His name was even used as the title of a movie a few years back in which Marvel’s Wolverine teamed up with Selene from the Underwolrd movies to punch werewolves in the face and help Frankenstein find a heart, or something like that. Anyway, the legend of the famed monster hunter is making it’s way back to the world of video games later this year. The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing is being touted as an action RPG and is being developed by independent developers, NeocoreGames.
The games is set in 19th century Europe and is said to have witty dialogue and plenty of humor as you step into the shoes of the elder Van Helsing’s son and battle against a new, supernatural menace that has crept its way into the city of Borgovia. With a dark, gothic art style and engrossing story, this will be a game that will stay on my radar until I get a chance to try it out.
