A new boxing game IP has sprung from the Nintendo Switch reveal event, Arms, which focuses on the motion controls of the Joy-cons. This new title is a fighting game that has two players in a crazy boxing match with special moves, blocking, dashes, and jumps.
The developer from Nintendo explained, “When you punch, your character also punches. When you twist your fist, your punch curves. With this you can get a distant enemy.” You can also move characters by tilting the Joy-con. Nintendo has emphasized that the game is pick-up and play oriented because of the physical controls, so anyone can play it. Arms will have local and online options for multiplayer. The two characters in the trailer are called Spring Man and Ribbon Girl.
Arms is scheduled to release sometime this Spring. Keep up with the news on BagoGames because it seems like Nintendo isn’t pulling any punches tonight! We will add the trailer when it is available.
