Square Enix has announced the details for the Air, Land & Sea Expansion Pass for Just Cause 3, comprised of three content packs set to launch over the course of this year.
The first content pack is called Sky Fortress, which will be launching in March for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and high-end PC consoles. Players who own the Expansion Pass will be able to play Sky Fortress a week before it goes on sale as a standalone download.
“If Just Cause 3 is over-the-top action then the Air, Land and Sea Expansion pass aims to stand on its shoulders and reach even higher,” says Senior Producer of Avalanche Studios, Tobias Andersson, “An incredible amount of time has been spent ensuring every new item is fully integrated into the main game and can be used during existing missions. Rico’s new Bavarium Wingsuit will fundamentally alter the core gameplay of Just Cause 3 and we can’t wait to see the crazy stunts that players perform with it.”
The new content pack will introduce a new set of missions as well as a huge new threat: a giant Sky Fortress equipped with an army of deadly robotic drones. To combat this new enemy, Rico Rodriguez is getting a few upgrades as well, such as a weaponized, rocket-powered Bavarium Wingsuit which is fitted with shoulder-mounted machine guns and auto-targeting missiles.
In addition to this, Rico will also be getting his own personal defense drone, Eviction, and a Bavarium Splitter assault rifle.
The second pack for Just Cause 3 is Land Mech Assualt. This pack will also include a new series of missions, this time featuring a unique new vehicle. This vehicle, a heavily armored mech, can be carried over into the main game and utilizing a gravity gun which can be used to pick up objects and then powerfully launch them in any direction.
While it is a heavily armored vehicle, it is still highly maneuverable and agile, and behaves unlike anything else in the game.
The final pack, Bavarium Sea Heist, will have more details revealed in the coming months.
The Air, Land & Sea Expansion Pass can be purchased for $24.99; the Sky Fortress pack alone will be priced at $11.99, and all three content packs will be available before the end of summer.
Again, the content in the Expansion Pass will be released one week early to Pass holders.
