A supposed leaked image of what looks to be a second iteration of the Kinect has surfaced on a Twitter account.
The persona who leaked it is only known as SuperDae, and is the same person responsible for leaking the next generation Xbox development kit a number of days ago—offering $10,000 for access to the kit. The kit was confirmed as real according to Microsoft sources.
As for the images, they seem to detail much more than the original Kinect was able to do. Individual fingers, as well as clothes, are easily definable.
Furthermore, leaked Xbox 720 documents showed that plans for a second version of Kinect do in fact rest in the minds of Microsoft. These plans show that the second version will have two sensors enabled on either side of the Television, thus giving the program a better sense of depth perception, as well as supporting more players.
There is also mention of Blu-Ray compatibility in the next Xbox, as well as a set of augmented reality glasses which would immerse the player to a depth of a game unseen before. There was also a mention of a 2013 release with a low price point of $299.99.
