Remember as a kid, how you’d act out scenes you saw on TV or games (we’ve all tried a Kamehameha, admit it)? Remember how you’d be the star who saves the day with your hardcore, kick-butt moves and all-round awesomeness?
It seems Kung Fu Superstar for the Kinect may well and truly bring back those memories. Currently in development by Kostas Zarifis of Lionhead, the game gives players the chance to be like water and learn Kung Fu. The title follows martial artist protagonist Danny Cheng as he embarks on a journey towards transforming from a nobody, to a movie icon. Gamers will learn martial arts moves via the Kinect using either the 360 controller, or with their body. They will then be able to take those moves and unleash them as Danny, as he performs those actions on a film set. Remember, those moves will need to be executed to perfection (that scene’s got to look good, right?). Just make sure there’s no furniture or priceless Ming vases nearby when you play.
