In the beta players will begin their investigation of the deserted, frozen town Kôna takes place in, as well as get to explore the snowy, quiet yet hostile environment.
In addition to this, pre-orders of Kôna: Day One will get a 30% discount, and upon release players will also receive a DRM-free copy and Steam access key to use on Windows, Linux, and Mac.
The game will have four episodes altogether, which will be playable in any order and can be purchased individually.
Kôna: Day One is set for release sometime in the first quarter of this year. It will follow private detective Carl Faubert as he is hired to investigate the vandalism of a property owned by a wealthy and possibly corrupt businessman. Upon arrival, he finds a blizzard raging and the entire town deserted.
