Naughty Dog has shared their plans for DLC that’s coming to The Last of Us. Three additional pieces of content are planned, with the first not too far way and releasing on October 15th.
The Abandoned Map Pack, the first of the three DLCs releasing under the coverage of the Season Pass, contains four new maps, including Suburbs, Bus Stop, Hometown and Bookstore.
- Suburbs – Weather the opposing Faction and the random, dynamic dust storm
- Bus Stop – Explore a layered map of an overgrown urban environment with wild giraffes in the background
- Hometown – Stalk around in a dark, eerie, moonlit, environment – the perfect setting for some serious stealth
- Bookstore – stacked, bi-level layout adding a highly unique dose of vertical gameplay
Single-player content will make up the second DLC, with Naughty Dog stating that they’ve just finished casting anew character and hope to release the DLC between December 2013 and January 2014.
Finally, the third DLC, which will be released during the first half of 214, will be multiplayer focused. More details will be shared the closer Naughty Dog comes to finishing it and once they’ve worked out what they want to share. Additionally, Season Pass owners will receive 60 new head items for their multiplayer character for free. The Nightmare Mask and the Pigskin helmet (see gallery below) are two such items.
The Last of Us Season Pass is out now for $19.99.
