343 Industries has just announced that the patch designed to fix matchmaking issues in Halo: The Master Chief Collection will not be released on Wednesday as planned. Instead it will come out later this week. 343 blamed the delay on a long testing and certification process. When it is released, the patch will include:
”a variety of fixes across the title, including Matchmaking performance issues, general UI and game stability improvements, as well as fixes for game-game specific issues in Halo: CE, Halo 2, and Halo 2: Anniversary, and more.”
Executive producer Dan Ayoub has already apologised for the long matchmaking times and other issues which have plagued the game since launch. Hopefully 343 will be able to fix the game by the end of the week.
