As you may be aware, some games featured twice in the top ten due to being slightly unique in their appearance/gameplay features on one platform compared to the other.
What is also interesting to note is that throughout 2012, the Xbox 360 received the most “new” games consisting of 243 titles, the PS3 received 204 titles and the Wii (including Wii U) received a measly 53 new titles.
Out of these new titles, the PS3 achieved the highest average Metascore, scoring 70.3 although the Xbox 360 wasn’t far behind averaging out at around 69.5 as a Metascore. Considering the Wii/Wii U only gained a collective of 53 new titles to its already expansive library it also did well, achieving 68.3 as a Metascore.
