Minecraft: PS3 Edition is releasing this week, Mojang announced today. It has a release date of Dec. 17th in NA and Dec. 18th in Europe.
The game will be identical to the Xbox 360 version, with the two to be developed for in parallel. Downloadable skins and texture packs will be available in the PS Store soon after its release, as well as a day-one update that Mojang recommends be downloaded and installed.
As or right now, Minecraft: PS3 Edition won’t support Remote Play, but with the game announced for both PS4 and PS Vita, expect this feature to be implemented at some point in the future.
