Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is due to be released soon on Nintendo’s next generation console, the Wii U and among the excitement for yet another Monster Hunter game many fans were disappointed to learn that the online multiplayer mode would be region-locked by Nintendo.
However, after cries were heard from all four corners of the internet, Capcom and Nintendo have decided to allow European and North American players to join forces and team up in four-player battles through a free update which will land in April.
Among this, the update will also allow gamers to play the new Monster Hunter title through the GamePad only, removing the need for a TV unit at all.
On top of this (we told you there was all manner of updates), Capcom also revealed that for “several months following release” the Wii U and 3DS versions of the game will get free content with the first downloadable quest being made available on 22nd March (launch day!).
