Neversoft, the developer behind Tony Hawk and Guitar Hero, have been called up by Activision to tackle a new Call of Duty game, as stated on their site: “We have moulded our team into a crack squad of eager developers ready to push the First Person Action genre in support of Activision’s Call of Duty franchise.”
It’s not exactly clear at this point what their involvement actually is or how far it extends. It’s also unknown which platform this will be for. Developers Treyarch and Infinity Ward switch between Black Ops and Modern Warfare, Sledgehammer Games aided in MW3’s development and may actually be developing an all new title of CoD themselves whilst Raven Software handles DLC for the series.
Let the rhythm based CoD remarks commence!
