After a short fourteen year development (sarcasm) where Duke Nukem Forever has been passed off from one developer till the next, fans of Duke Nukem have grown increasingly accustomed to hearing bad news about it’s eventual release. So it should not come as a surprise to anyone whose been following the long saga of the Duke Nukem sequel that Duke Nukem Forever has been delayed yet again.
Duke Nukem Forever had been set for a May 3rd release date in the U.S. and a May 6th release date for the rest of the world. But it was announced by Gearbox’s Randy Pitchford via a youtube video that the game would be pushed off another month. The game is now slated for a June 14th release in North America and the unthinkable has happened, the rest of the world will now get the game before us on June 10th. WWIII here we come.
It’s been a long wait but we’re closer than we’ve ever been to actually having this game in our hands to play and enjoy. It may turn out to be just a carbon copy of the original or a potty-mouthed dirt rag of a game. But I bet millions of players like me just can’t wait till it hits. I only hope the world can wait till June
