It’s official, Metro 2033 is getting a sequel. It was confirmed late yesterday by publisher THQ that the 4A Games developed first-person shooter is slated for release next year and will be called Metro 2033: Last Light.
We first learned of a Metro 2033 sequel back in June but it wasn’t until yesterday that we knew it was official. THQ CEO Brian Farrell confirmed the sequel during the companies 4th quarter fiscal report. Beside the title and the expected release time of next year not much more was said leaving few details known at this time. What we do know is that the game may make a reveal this upcoming June at the annual E3 gaming conference. Time will tell.
It was also confirmed by THQ that three other popular titles would be released next year including Warhammer 40,000: Dark Millennium Online, Darksiders 2, and Devil’s Third. Check back for more Metro 2033 related news.
